For outdoor applications requiring color changing technology, StarStrand Rainbow Aqua Star 24, a low-voltage 24 volt system, comes completely surrounded by a chemical and UV resistant pliable plastic coating for use in all weather conditions and is IP68 rated. With the required controller, a rainbow of colors including white can be created; red, green, blue and any combination of the three; by remote control. Pre-manufactured lengths of 24 inches, 60 inches, 120 inches and 300 inches with water-tight IP68 connectors at each end make Rainbow Aqua Star 24 safe to submerge under water. Rainbow Aqua Star 24 is field cuttable every 4 inches. Rainbow Aqua Star 24 does not come with an adhesive backing. Installation of Rainbow Aqua Star 24 requires the use of a mounting channel combined with industrial grade silicone, or mounting clips. Mounting channel and mounting clips are sold seperately.
